SCOTIA  |  RENOVATION
Dallas, Texas

How do you create a home filled with vibrant color and pattern, but still keep it calming and sophisticated?  Like this.

Welcome to the Scotia house. This 1975 Dutch Colonial was feeling tired after its nearly 50 years of service. While it had seen a few cosmetic updates over the years, it was time for a big functional and style upgrade.

The wish list was extensive. Make the laundry room a fun place to be. Then create an island in the galley kitchen without enlarging the kitchen (?!?), open the living room, add more natural lighting, plus infuse everything with color and personality. Easy enough!

The end result is both polished and playful, serene and colorful, and (blessedly) organized for this family of 5.
