The weather has finally turned in Texas and we are doing all of the hygge-ing around here. This month’s favorites are all about creature comforts that are helping us feel warm, cozy, and comfortable!

1. Beauty Counter Charcoal Mask – This one's from Kristen! Wearing less makeup these days? Same! Upping my skincare game has been on my agenda over the last few months. The Counter+ Charcoal Facial Mask has been a new addition to my regime. It helps clean out those pores in just ten minutes. My face feels like butter afterwards. Plus, it is a completely clean product, free of any potentially harmful toxins, chemicals, and weird ingredients you can’t pronounce! Bonus tip – it can also be used on mosquito bites to get rid of the itch.
2.GreenPan Nonstick Skillets – I cook a lot, and I do not have time for terrible pans, so hear me when I say this: these guys have changed my LIFE. These are actual non stick pans that food does not stick to. It is like magic. They are functional and beautiful, my most favorite combo. Pancakes, grilled cheese, sautéing, stir fry, sauces, toasting seeds and nuts, I use these for everything. They have so many other pieces in the collection that I’m pretty sure more will be going on my Christmas list! They are not cheap but guys they are worth every penny.
3. Winter White Candle – Yes, yes, another candle. But listen. I first splurged on the West Elm Winter White candle two years ago and I lack the sufficient vocabulary to describe to you the glory of how this smells. It smells like…winter breeze perfection?! I loved it so much that I tried to buy a second one and it was sold out. And then last year I couldn’t find it. But this year IT IS BACK. You need to hurry and buy this immediately before it is gone. Maybe buy two. Maybe a dozen. That is why it’s on the October favorites list and not the December one. You’re going to want to smell this all fall and winter long.
4. Yoga Pants - Another one from Kristen! It has been a while since I have bought new yoga pants. When I needed a few new pairs, I didn’t want to break the bank so snagged these guys on Amazon. And….Oh. My. Goodness. These are the softest, comfiest pants my legs have ever beheld. They feel way more expensive than the under $20 price tag. Plus, they come in colors that you don’t see every day like mauve and olive.
5. Drawer organizers – When we settled into our rental I vowed to organize every drawer as I unpacked it, but didn’t want to buy anything too-specific that wouldn’t work at our new house, and these little multi-taskers helped me keep my promise. They come in 4 sizes and are a little bit grippy on the bottom which makes them amazing for corralling all of the little bits and bobs that normally clutter up drawers. I used the big ones in my “junk” drawer for a hammer, candle lighter, and scissors and in my kids’ closet for shin guards and soccer socks. The long ones are great for measuring spoons, chopsticks, pencils, and face creams. The medium ones are the most versatile and are perfect for Q-tips, hair ties and clips, and kids’ utensils. The baby ones are great for cotton balls, paper clips, and razor blades. They come in a few colors, so I used pink for my stuff and the kitchen, and gray for all the boys’ items.
6.Dyson Animal V11 Cordless Vacuum – you guys. For years I’ve heard you all exclaiming how amazing the Dyson was, telling me it was worth the money, and I was like “yeah yeah but Shark is half the price.” Y’all…this vacuum is incredible. We have super dark espresso hardwood floors at our rental and they show every damn thing. Flour, dust, hair, fuzz, you name it, you can see it. I know it sounds bougie to say that plugging in a corded vacuum was too much effort, but 3 times a day it got old FAST. This guy has more than enough charge to go through our entire house and it filled the bin with SO MUCH CRUD that had been left behind in our rugs after vacuuming with our old standard vacuum. 5 stars, highly recommend.
7. Leather Jacket – Tall girls listen up!!! I am 5’-9” and have spent approximately 25 years searching for jackets that actually fit my long arms. I’ve always wanted a leather (or faux) leather jacket, but every single one I’ve ever put on my body has been too short. UNTIL NOW. This biker-style jacket is so flattering and cool. I’ve gotten dozens of compliments. It’s vegan leather (which is a fancy term for faux leather) so it is not one trillion dollars, which is a major plus! Short girls don’t run away; you can always have it tailored!
8. Hudson | Grace Housewares – In case you missed it like we did, Crate & Barrel acquired a brand called Hudson|Grace and somehow we are just finding out about it! They carry a curated collection of entertaining, tabletop, housekeeping, and gifts. It feels very Rose Apothecary for my Schitt’s Creek fans. The items are on the pricier side, but I’m a huge fan of buying quality and buying it once….and when I can’t, maybe buying it for a loved one that I know will appreciate it! I’m drooling over this mustard towel and cleaner set. Also check out the marble utensil holder and barware.
9. Keds Boots – It’s everything you love about Keds (comfort) in a waterproof boot! These are AWESOME for fall. You can hoof it through mud and puddles and your feet stay dry. Great for camping if that’s something you find yourself doing in the fall months, and are just as good for school pick up!
10. Leather Handled Storage Basket – You can make just about any mundane group of objects look cute with this basket. We have one that works as our diaper station – it holds a dozen diapers, wipes, a changing pad, hand sanitizer, and diaper rash cream, and looks cute doing it. I love that it’s neutral enough to go with most any décor. There’s a variety of sizes available too!
11. Brandless kitchen utensils – If I frightened you with the price tag on those pans, I’m going to redeem myself here. These utensils only come in at a whopping $4 each. They are so pretty with their simple gray and wood design, but are also functional and durable. Fun fact – in nearly every kitchen we photograph I bring them to style the photos with! I’ve had mine for well over a year, and they still look and work great.
12. Nest Grapefruit Candle – I walked into a client’s Powder Bathroom and this stopped me in my tracks! I didn’t know I liked the smell of grapefruit, but it smells so fresh and crisp and clean. And honestly it made my mouth water a little bit (even though I hate grapefruit)!. They have lots of other yummy fall scents that are on my list to try.
Wishing you a wonderful week! Stay cozy!
